The friction factor for fluid flow, either compressible or
non-compressible, is calculated from the Reynolds number and pipe
roughness using equations modeling Moody's diagram. Pressure drop is
then calculated for the fluid flow in the entire pipe length, which may
include elbows.
Features:
-
Different units can be selected to designate fluid properties and pipe
specs
-
Standard USS pipe sizes can be selected without need to specify pipe
diameters
-
Pipe diameter can be modified due to internal coking/build-up
-
Flow calculations can be based on mass or volumetric flow
-
Overall pipe length can account for elbows in line
-
Information on fluid properties is presented, friction factor, and the
Reynolds number
